About Reebha Aggarwal
(she/her)
Imagine you’re in a coffee shop.
At one table, a young professional is staring into their coffee, weighed down by burnout.
Across the room, a parent scrolls their phone, trying to untangle a web of complex family dynamics.
Near the window, someone’s writing in their journal, questioning their sense of self and feeling stuck.
These are the people I serve, and these are the stories I’m passionate about helping to rewrite.
I work with individuals who are navigating the messiness of life, especially those facing these challenges:
People with complex family relationships: Families can feel like puzzles, with missing pieces or extra ones that don’t quite fit. I help clients navigate these intricate dynamics—whether it’s setting boundaries, mending connections, or understanding their place within it all.
Individuals building self-esteem: If your inner critic has been running the show for too long, let’s work together to amplify your strengths and help you see yourself in a brighter light—one that doesn’t require dimming your shine.
People feeling stuck or unfulfilled: You know that feeling of running on a treadmill but going nowhere? I’m here to help you step off, find your footing, and start heading toward a life that excites and fulfills you.
Those experiencing unhappiness without clarity: Sometimes sadness feels like a fog—present but hard to pinpoint. Together, we’ll uncover what’s behind that haze and work on clearing it.
Underrepresented populations: As someone who’s been there, I understand the unique challenges faced by marginalized groups. My goal is to create a space where your voice isn’t just heard—it’s celebrated.
Immigrant populations: As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the challenges of balancing identities and cultural expectations. I provide a space where your voice is celebrated and your journey supported.
LGBTQIA+ individuals: Your identity is a story worth telling and celebrating. I offer an inclusive, affirming environment to help you navigate challenges, embrace authenticity, and find joy in your journey.
People facing mental health challenges: Whether it’s anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, suicidal thoughts, or ADHD, I’m here to provide tools and strategies to navigate life’s hurdles. I also support caregivers of those living with severe mental illness (SMI) because your well-being matters too.
Those experiencing burnout: Between endless to-do lists and the pressure to “do it all,” burnout can sneak up on anyone. Let’s work on finding balance, resilience —and yes, naps may be prescribed.
How Do I Help?
Therapy with me is like having a guide for the adventure of self-discovery.
Sure, there will be challenges (every good quest has them), but there’s also space for reflection, growth, and maybe even a few laughs along the way.
Here’s how I help:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):
Let’s untangle those unhelpful thought loops that keep you stuck and replace them with ones that help you thrive.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT):
From managing emotions to improving relationships, DBT gives you the tools to navigate life’s ups and downs without throwing your phone across the room.
Internal Family Systems (IFS):
We’ll explore the different parts of you—the worrier, the dreamer, the overthinker—and bring them into harmony, without turning it into a family reunion disaster.
Mindfulness techniques:
Staying present can feel like a superpower in a world of constant distractions. Together, we’ll cultivate this skill so you can find calm amidst the noise.
Somatic awareness:
Your body holds wisdom, even if it’s been trying to communicate through back pain or sleepless nights. We’ll learn to listen and respond.
Through it all, I bring a trauma-informed and attachment-based perspective to ensure that our work honors your experiences and unique needs.
Above all, my approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing is possible—even if it’s messy and nonlinear.
About Reebha
Picture a young, wide-eyed kid navigating the chaos of a new country, trying to make sense of everything from playground rules to cultural nuances—all while dodging endless questions about their accent.
That kid grew up to become me: a queer South Asian therapist, passionate about helping others find their way through the messiness of life.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked in the mental health field, supporting individuals as they navigate mood disorders, symptoms of psychosis, ADHD, suicidal thoughts, and trauma.
As a first-generation immigrant, I know what it’s like to feel caught between worlds, juggling identities and expectations. This experience drives my passion to increase mental health awareness and accessibility for communities of color.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me blending colors for paintings, strategizing my next move in board games, lifting heavy things at the gym, exploring new places, or laughing too hard with my family and friends over a meal we all helped create.
So, let’s take this journey together. Bring your story, your struggles, and your hopes. We’ll navigate the twists and turns, find meaning in the chaos, and maybe even laugh about it along the way. After all, every masterpiece begins with a few messy strokes.
